Who I am

My name is Leanna. I live in a town East of Seattle with my partner and our cat. I have loved cooking and baking ever since I was a kid. I also enjoy making voices for my cat, crafting, planning, hosting, antiquing, reading, and learning. Among other things (needle felting, penpalling, crocheting, knitting, writing, debating, meditating, cross stitching?, aromatherapy, soap making, candle making, anime watching).

I've been blogging on and off for about 4 years now. This blog has taken many shapes, but has primarily been a place for me to share and store my recipes. Every once in a while there will be a post on a craft, or some form of DIY nonsense, and sometimes just ramblings. It started out as basically for personal use, an outlet, and sharing recipes with friends and family. Recently, my viewership has gone up, and I've taken that as a motivator to post more regularly, so thanks to all of you!

I'm really into squirrels. Sciuridae = squirrel family = see-your-ra-di. We are a squirrel family, but we won't kick you out before breakfast. xoxo

We try to stay away from grains, refined sugar, legumes, etc... although I still maintain a spiritual connection to baking. You could say we're Primal/Paleo. We do sometimes. But we're not super into labels... just super into doing what works for our bodies. Sometimes we don't eat 100% primal/paleo, so please take your "but THAT isn't paleo!" elsewhere. Just love here... :)

I label my recipes if they fall under the widely accepted general guidelines of being "paleo" or "primal" just so it's easier for you readers to find them. I leave it up to you at that point to decide if it falls under the umbrella of your eating style because, honestly, I don't care what you eat. Pretty sure you know your body better than me! So.. eat good things. Eat things that make your body happy and your soul happy.

Anyway, here's my cat.
